Job summary

Beacon Health System in La Porte, IN seeks a Medical Assistant to support physician and nursing staff in a busy clinic. You will perform patient intake, basic clinical tasks, EKGs and labs, and help with scheduling and EMR data entry.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
• Previous medical office experience required.
• Spanish language ability is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and visitors professionally.
• Answer telephone and relay messages accurately.
• Obtain patient information for records and billing.
• Maintain patient files, charts and records.
• Assist physician and nurse with clinical procedures.
• Perform routine lab tests and EKGs as ordered.
