Job summary

University of Washington Medical Center is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant - Certified (MA-C) for the Shoreline clinic. The role supports primary care teams, rooming patients, obtaining vitals, injections, and assisting with procedures.

The position is 37.5 hours per week (94% FTE), Monday–Friday, day shift, near public transit, with opportunities for career growth within UW Medicine Primary Care.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (CAAHEP/ABHES or equivalent).
• Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or eligible within 6 months of hire.
• Valid AHA BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records.
• Perform injections.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms.
• Submit medication prior authorizations.
• Report symptoms to the provider.
• Serve as liaison between patient/family and providers.
• Assist with procedures and medical exams.
• Perform point-of-care testing and report results.
• Transport patients as needed.
