Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a Physician Practice in Pain Management. You will work closely with the primary care physician to provide excellent patient care, review and update health records, and prepare treatment rooms for examinations.

The role requires MA certification within 12 months of start date, BLS, and typically 1 year of MA experience with clerical duties in a physician office. Mercy Health offers competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Requires CMA certification or ABR-OE alternative accepted outside SC
• BLS/CPR certification required at hire or prior to independent patient care
• Experience: 1 year medical assistant preferred; 2 years clerical in physician office preferred

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and maintain respectful customer service
• Prepare and review patient charts, verify test results and records
• Measure vital signs (pulse, respiration, BP, weight, height)
• Perform clerical duties: inventory, referrals, phone calls
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly
• Other duties as assigned
