Job summary

Community Care Partners in Gillette, WY is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant or Medical Assistant to join a patient-focused team. The role supports examination preparation, vital sign collection, injections, wound care, and lab specimen handling.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school graduate or equivalent is required.
  • Certificate/License: Current Certification as a Medical Assistant through one of the following programs is preferred (RMA, AAMA, NCCT, CMAC, AMCA). Current BLS certification is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination, record vital signs and history, and provide treatment as applicable.
  • Prepare exam/treatment rooms; set up, sterilize, and maintain medical supplies and equipment.
  • Prepare and administer injections, change dressings, and facilitate wound management under providers orders.
  • Collect blood, tissue, and other laboratory specimens and log results; perform lab call-backs as needed.
  • Document basic patient care and procedures in EMR forms.
  • Schedule patients for tests and follow-up appointments in care settings.
  • Instruct patients and families regarding treatment and medication instructions.
  • Collaborate with team to ensure seamless patient care across cross-functional actions.
  • Perform opening/closing clinic duties and patient callbacks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for examination, records vital signs and history, and provides treatment as applicable
  • Prepares exam/treatment rooms; select, setup, sterilize, and maintain medical supplies and equipment for procedures
  • Prepare and administer injections, change dressings, and facilitate wound management under providers orders
  • Collect blood, tissue, and other laboratory specimens through routine in-house testing procedures, and analyze and prepare for testing, log results, and perform lab call-backs
  • Document basic patient care and procedures, utilizing appropriate forms and electronic medical records
  • Schedule patients for tests, initial, and follow-up appointments if applicable in care setting
  • Instructs patients and family regarding treatment and medication instructions
  • Collaborate, take direction, and initiate actions that will allow the assumption of cross-functional team actions to ensure seamless patient care
  • Perform opening/closing clinic duties and patient call backs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
