Certified Medical Assistant, OBGYN/REI (Finance)

Role Overview

Function as an integral part of the Clinical office staff, performing administrative and clinical duties. Responsible for obtaining patient intake information, performing delegated tasks and treatments, and providing direct patient care as required. Schedule tests and procedures ordered by physicians and provide patient education related to these procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or graduate of a medical assistant program
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant from AAMA, NHA, NCCT, NAHP, ARMA, or AMT
• Seven to eleven months of equivalent experience preferred

• Excellent communication skills, able to interact clearly with patients of all education levels
• Calm and effective in emergency situations
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Proficient in electronic health record software
• Perform age-appropriate patient care, including vital signs, EKGs, labs, and treatments
• Assist providers with documentation, prescriptions, and orders in the EMR
• Maintain clinical area cleanliness and equipment
• Handle routine patient calls and coordinate ancillary services
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality at all times
