Job summary

Sentara Martha Jefferson Neurosciences seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in Charlottesville, VA. This full-time role offers a schedule of 8am–4:30pm, Monday–Friday, with occasional float coverage and a sign-on bonus up to $5,000 for qualified candidates.

The CMA will perform patient care and administrative tasks under supervision, with phlebotomy experience highly preferred. Education includes a high school diploma or equivalent and CMA/RMA/CCMA/EMT-B certifications, plus BLS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must have CMA, RMA, CCMA or EMT-B certification on first day.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire date.
• Less than 1 year of related experience; phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient care and administrative/clerical tasks under supervision of physician, NP/PA, RN or LPN.
• Competently assist with procedures and maintain clinical workflow.
