Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a certified medical assistant program.
• MA-C or Interim MA-C required; interim must obtain MA-C within 6 months of hire.
• Current healthcare provider CPR certification required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with EMR applications, EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for the healthcare practitioner.
• Obtain vital signs.
• Prepare patients for routine and specialty procedures.
• Collect specimens.
• Communicate with patients via MyChart and by phone; document interactions in the EHR.
