Job summary

Overlake Medical Center in Bellevue, WA is seeking a per diem Medical Assistant to greet and prepare patients for care, take vital signs, assist with procedures, collect specimens, and document interactions in the EMR system.

The position runs Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:30pm with no weekend or holiday shifts, and offers a pay range of $28.02–$38.77 per hour along with benefits and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of a certified medical assistant program or previous military training/experience that satisfies Washington state standards required.
• Medical Assistant Certification (MA-C) or Interim MA-C through WA State DOH required(the latter must obtain regular MA-C within 6-months of hire).
• Current healthcare provider CPR certification required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.
• Experience with EMR applications, EPIC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greeting and preparing patients for the healthcare practitioner.
• Obtaining vital signs.
• Preparing patients for routine and specialty procedures.
• Collecting specimens.
• Documenting patient interactions via electronic medical recorder.
