Job summary

UW Medicine's Northwest Outpatient Medical Center—OB/GYN in Seattle is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) for a full-time, day-shift role. You will room patients, take vital signs, perform injections, prepare exam rooms, and support procedures with the care team.

The MA-C must complete an accredited MA program and achieve WA MA-Certification within 6 months. AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES or other recognized accrediting body.
• WA Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) required or to be achieved within 6 months of hire.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vital signs, and reconcile records.
• Perform injections and point-of-care testing; report abnormal values to provider.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms; assist with procedures and exams.
• Submit medication prior authorizations and coordinate between patient, family and providers.
