Job summary

MultiCare Health System, Inc. is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) for Internal Medicine in Tacoma. The MA-C will support physicians and APPs, manage patient flow and prepare patients for exams.

Qualified candidates have WA MA-C certification, at least one year of healthcare experience preferred, and current BLS certification. A $5,000 sign-on bonus with a 24‑month commitment is offered for this full-time Day shift role (Monday–Friday) at Allenmore Hospital.

Qualifications

• Washington State MA-C certification (MA-C) required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organizing patient flow in collaboration with front office.
• Interviewing patients and obtaining vital signs.
• Preparing patients for exams or treatments and assisting with procedures.
• Performing specimen collection including venipuncture.
• Administering medications per WA DOH regulations and competency.
• Relaying instructions to patients and families.
