Job summary

MultiCare Health System is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) to join a physician/APP office team in Tacoma, WA. The MA-C will work under licensed practitioners, performing safe clinical tasks and interacting with physicians, nurses, and front-office staff to support patient care.

The role requires MA-C certification, at least one year of healthcare experience (preferred), and current BLS. The position is full-time with a Day shift, Monday through Friday, in an on-site office setting in

Qualifications

• Washington MA-C certification
• Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting (preferred)
• Current BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Fulfills patient care responsibilities such as interviewing patients, obtaining vital signs, preparing for exams, and assisting with procedures.
• Performs specimen collection including venipuncture and administers medications per WA DoH regulations and competency.
• Relays instructions to patients and families, and assists with clerical tasks like processing medical records and facilitating referrals.
