Job summary

Hudson Regional Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support Physicians, Nurses and staff across hospital settings in Secaucus and Bayonne. The role involves taking patient histories, preparing patients for procedures, and assisting with exams, medications, and post-procedure care.

The ideal candidate has NJ MA certification, bilingual English/Spanish abilities, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must possess certification as Medical Assistant in New Jersey.
• BLS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take patient medical history.
• Explain treatments or procedures to patients.
• Cleans and sterilizes designated equipment after use.
• Prepare patients and assist physicians with procedures.
• Assists patients with meals, mobility, and comfort.
• Instruct patients about medications and special diets.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Ensure exam rooms and treatment areas are cleaned after each patient, restock supplies.
• Obtain vital signs, weights, and EKGs; collect blood as needed.
