Job summary

Community Health Center of Central Wyoming (CHCCW) in Casper, WY, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support our clinical team. You will prepare patients for exams, document symptoms, perform basic lab work and ECGs, measure vital signs, assist with procedures and immunizations, and maintain sterile practices.

You’ll also manage EMR tasks and front-office responsibilities, with opportunities to support other clinic areas as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of Medical Assistant Program Certification with the National Association of Health Professionals upon hire or within six months.
• BLS Certification current or upon hire.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Bilingual ability is a plus.
• Ability to work with a diverse population.
• Confidentiality and privacy in handling patient information.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for the exam room and document symptoms.
• Observe, interview and note patient symptoms and concerns.
• Perform basic laboratory testing, ECG and related treatments.
• Measure vital signs and assist with procedures.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed.
• Maintain infection control standards and safety.
• Operate medical equipment safely and sterilize supplies.
• Restock examination and procedure rooms.
• EMR data entry and basic front office duties like scheduling.
• Work in other areas of the clinic as needed (Call Center, float).
