Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health in Zephyhrills, FL is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support the Internal Medicine team. The CMA will perform patient care under the physician or APP direction in an ambulatory setting and assist with examinations and procedures.

This role requires completion of an approved Medical Assistant program or relevant work experience, current BLS, and CMA/CCMA/CMAC or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school (or at least one year of verifiable work as CMA in a patient care setting).
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification and CMA/CCMA/CMAC/NCMA/ NRCMA/ NRCAMA/ RMA/ARMA/AAH or equivalent certification is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents patient data, treatments, and education according to policies.
• Acts as liaison to schedule specialty testing and physician consultations.
