Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school, or at least 1 year of CMA work experience.
• Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification.
• Maintains appropriate CMA/CMA- or equivalent registration by recognized issuing body.

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assists patients and families with examination preparation.
• Assists physician or APP during examinations and procedures.
• Documents patient data, treatments, and education per policies.
• Acts as liaison for scheduling specialty tests or consultations.
• Enters orders into the EMR under provider direction.
