Women’s Healthcare of Dothan is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide patient care under supervision, supporting clinical and administrative functions including assisting with procedures, managing exam rooms, and ensuring efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent patient service.

The role involves preparing exam rooms, taking vitals, coordinating referrals, verifying insurance, and maintaining organized, courteous service in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or completion of externship program.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with clinical procedures such as taking vital signs, wound care, suture removal, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, urine tests, EKGs, and splints.
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms for patient visits and procedures.
• Performs patient intake duties, including reporting test results, phone triage, and documenting medical information.
• Maintains daily logs and documentation.
• Supports administrative duties: pre-registering patients, scheduling, referrals, insurance eligibility, and clinic communications.
• Maintains an organized workload with courteous service to providers, patients, and visitors.
