Behavioral & Mental Care in Dothan, AL seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for Adult Outpatient Services. Join a fast-paced team supporting examinations, histories, and EMR documentation.

Candidates should have CMA/CNA credentials, a high school diploma, two years in medical field, valid driver’s license, and current BLS certification. Travel to other clinic sites within the catchment area is required.

Qualifications

• CMA or CNA certification required.

• Two years’ experience in the medical field.
• Experience with computers and typing.
• Valid driver’s license with clean MVR.
• Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist consumers with initiating, scheduling, or rescheduling services.
• Assist physicians during examinations and taking histories, recording vital signs, and escorting patients.
• Transcribe patient information in the EMR.
• Assist other medical staff with daily tasks to ensure consumer needs are met.
• Travel to other locations within the catchment area for medical services.

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Adult Outpatient Services

Located in: Dothan, AL

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm

Duties Include:

• Assist incoming consumers with initiating, scheduling, or rescheduling medical services needed and/or requested.
• Assist physicians during examinations, taking medical histories, recording vital signs escorting patients to and from lobby, transcribing patient medical information in the EMR, etc.
• Assist other medical staff with daily tasks to ensure consumer needs met.
• Ensure the program complies with all necessary standards, policies, and protocols.
• Ideal candidate will have knowledge of Medical Terminology, Pharmaceutical experience and/or Medical Office Experience.
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Will be required to travel to other locations within the catchment area to assist with medical services.

Required Qualifications / Education / Experience:

• Credentials / Certification: CMA, CNA
• High School Diploma or GED
• Two (2) years’ experience in the medical field.
• Experience working with Computers
• Excellent Typing skills
• Possess a Valid Driver’s License with good MVR
• Must maintain current BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications / Education / Experience:

• Three (3) years’ experience in the medical field
• Physician Office experience preferred
