Job summary

Atrium Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our fast-paced Adult Gastroenterology Clinic. You will prepare patients, record vital signs, and assist physicians with procedures in a patient-centered environment.

The role includes routine lab procedures, immunizations as ordered, and coordination of referrals within the care team. Must hold an approved CMA credential and a completed MA program. On-site position with standard clinic hours.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) with current credential from AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMT, or other approved body.
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• 1 year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs, room patients, and document health information.
• Perform waived lab procedures and specimen collection.
• Assist providers with exams and procedures (e.g., wound care, minor procedures).
• Administer routine medications per orders or protocols.
• Support patient flow and communicate with the care team.
