Job summary

UnityPoint Clinic - North Liberty in North Liberty, IA is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time, 40-hour weekly schedule. Shift: Mon 11a-5p, Tue-Fri 7:30a-5p. Includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

The CMA will assist providers, take histories, document vital signs, and manage rooming and basic procedures. Ideal candidates graduate from an accredited MA program and hold CMA/RMA credentials. Prior clinical office experience and EMR proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (certificate, diploma, or associate degree).
• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred.
• Previous clinical experience in a medical office is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and clinical staff with patient rooming, exams, treatments, and minor procedures.
• Obtain patient history, review of systems, and document vital signs.
• Document care in the EMR using standardized workflows.
• Perform specimen collection and prepare samples for lab analysis.
• Carry out orders within licensure, including medications and vaccines.
