Job summary

Su Clinica Familiar is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to be the first clinical contact, handling patient data, vital signs, vaccines, injections, and basic procedures. The CMA will support patient care through chart prep, medication reconciliation, and lab assistance while maintaining HIPAA compliance.

The role requires a Medical Assistant certificate, computer literacy, and bilingual English/Spanish communication to assist a diverse patient population in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Minimum 1 year medical assistant experience preferred.
• Current certification as a registered or certified medical assistant required.
• Must be computer literate (EMR, MS Word, Excel).
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients in a respectful, culturally appropriate manner.
• Prepare patients for examination and treatment; take history and vital signs.
• Perform injections within scope of practice; assist with refills and medication reviews.
• Assist with scheduling tests or treatments and patient flow.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and information.
• Communicate patient needs and population management information to the provider.
