Qualifications

• Must be a licensed LPN in the state of SC.
• Medical Assistant certification by AAMA, NHA, AMT or NCCT is required.
• CMA must be a graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by a recognized body (as detailed in the ad).

Responsibilities

• Greets incoming patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
• Registers patients into the computer system for each encounter with accurate information.
• Verifies insurance benefits and eligibility using verification software or payer websites.
• Initiates front-end collections and informs patients about copayments and payment plans.
• Prepares examination rooms and ensures forms are signed and scanned into the EHR.
• Assists providers with direct patient care and related tasks as needed.
