Job summary

AnMed Urgent Care in Anderson, SC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support examination rooms and direct patient care under supervision. The role includes prepping patients for exams, assisting providers with procedures, and handling messages, referrals, and scanning as trained.

The ideal candidate holds CMA certification through AAMA/NHA/AMT/NCCT and completed an accredited post-secondary program with anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and clinical experience.

Qualifications

• CMA certification required (AAMA, NHA, AMT or NCCT).
• CMA must be graduate of an accredited post-secondary medical assisting program with anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, medical terminology, clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and care areas for examinations and procedures.
• Assist providers with direct patient care and related tasks (messages, referrals, scanning).

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure patients and patient care areas are prepared for examinations and procedures
• Assist providers with all aspects of direct patient care with training and demonstrated competency as well as other tasks involved in patient care, such as messages, referrals and scanning.

Qualifications:

Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

• Medical Assistant certification by AAMA, NHA, AMT or NCCT is required.
• CMA must be a graduate of a post-secondary medical assisting education program accredited by the National Healthcare Association, or its successor; by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association, or its successor; by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools, or its successor; or by any accrediting agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. The accredited post-secondary medical assisting education program must include courses in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, pharmacology, medical laboratory techniques, and clinical experience.
