Qualifications

• Postsecondary certificate/diploma in medical assisting from an accredited program.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) ‑ AAMA or RMA at hire.
• BCLS certification at hire.
• 1+ year outpatient/physician practice experience preferred.
• Proficient in EHR and clinical software.

Responsibilities

• Assist in rooming patients, taking vitals, EKGs, and minor procedures under physician supervision.
• Prepare and administer medications under physician direction per certification guidelines.
• Coordinate care, insurance verification, prior authorizations, and patient education.
• Maintain documentation and EMR accuracy; support quality and safety initiatives.
