Job summary

Memorial Health System is seeking a Float Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and clerical support across primary care, surgical and specialty practices. You will document patient data, prepare medications, and assist with procedures under provider supervision.

The role requires CMA certification, BLS, and strong EMR and office skills, with a commitment to confidential patient care and accurate record-keeping.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program with an AAMA, RMA, or NHA certification or approved equivalent.
• BLS Certification required.
• Previous healthcare experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to perform clerical tasks and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and clerical support to primary care, surgical and specialty physician practices.
• Administer medications as delegated by providers in ambulatory care.
• Enter prescriptions and manage e-prescriptions to the patient’s pharmacy of choice.
• Document patient intake, vitals, allergies, and history in the EHR.
• Perform front office duties including scheduling and handling payments.
• Register patients and verify insurance eligibility.
