Job summary

Nazareth Hospital, part of Trinity Health, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care. In this full-time role, you will assist physicians, prepare exam rooms, take vital signs, collect specimens, and document in the EHR to ensure safe, patient-centered care for our community.

You will also perform basic medical assisting procedures, coordinate labs, and help with front office tasks such as reception, scheduling and billing.

Qualifications

• Certification as Medical Assistant from recognized certifying bodies (AAMA, AMT, NCCT, AMCA, NHA, NAHP, or NPCE).
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1+ year CMA experience in a physician's office is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, escort to exam rooms, take vital signs, interview patients, and document in EHR.
• Assess patient symptoms and record data in the medical record.
• Collect specimens and coordinate labs; prepare for procedures and communicate with departments.
• Set up exam rooms and assist with procedures as directed by the physician/healthcare provider.
• Support front desk tasks including reception, medical records, scheduling and billing.
