Job summary

GI Alliance is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support providers, manage patient flow, and maintain accurate EMR documentation in a fast-paced gastroenterology clinic. You will obtain vitals, assist with examinations, and coordinate tests and referrals while ensuring patient safety and HIPAA compliance.

On-site role with opportunities for growth; experience with ModMed gGastro is a plus. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success in this collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; MA diploma preferred.
• CMA/RMA certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• BLS certification or obtain within 90 days of hire.
• Experience with EMR systems and gastroenterology practice is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review charts to ensure documentation, tests, and orders are ready for appointments.
• Escort patients, manage flow, and prepare exam rooms.
• Obtain vitals, document medical history, and record chief complaint.
• Assist physicians during visits and procedures.
• Maintain EMR accuracy and inventory; schedule tests and referrals.
• Follow HIPAA and infection control guidelines.
