UAB Medicine is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our outpatient care teams on a PRN, flexi AM schedule. The CMA will organize patient records and provide essential clinical nursing support including prepping patients for exams, basic lab tests, and collecting medical histories.

A CMA or CCMA certification and CPR certification are required, with alternative agency certifications needing timely conversion, and a high school diploma or GED is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• CMA or CCMA certification required; if certified by another agency, certification must be obtained within six months of employment.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within thirty days of employment.
