Community Health Network is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the Family Medicine site on 96th St in Indianapolis, IN. The MA will support providers in ambulatory care, perform routine labs, manage referrals, and contribute to quality outcomes for the practice population.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs and performing EKGs, and documenting care in the EPIC EMR. Candidates should have MA certification and at least 1 year of recent physician-practice

Competenze

• Graduate/certificate of completion from a recognized medical assisting program or a High School Diploma/GED with 1 year ofMA experience in a physician practice within the past 3 years.
• Medical Assistant certification and 1 year of experience required.

Mansioni

Make a Difference

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for assisting the provider of an ambulatory health care site with facilitation of patient visit and procedures, routine laboratory tests, referrals, and quality outcomes for the population of the practice. As an MA, you will also get to actively participate in Network quality initiatives regarding best practices.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving.

• Graduate/certificate of completion from a recognized medical assisting program OR a High School Diploma/GED + one year of medical assistant experience in a physician practice within the past three years.
• Medical Assistant certification and 1 year of experience required
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient use including required cleaning and stocking of supplies
• Room patients and manage an efficient flow of provider’s caseload
• Obtain necessary vital signs, EKGs, and/or specimen collection
• Documentation of care using the EPIC EMR system
• Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient’s chief complaint and available protocols
• Process referrals and medication refills
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff

During low census may require flexibility with schedule and/or float to other offices to meet FTE of 40 hours per week.
