Job summary

Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey Community Health Center (VNACJ CHC) in Keyport, NJ is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Primary Care team. The full-time role includes an evening and weekend rotation and requires travel between four locations (Asbury Park, Red Bank, Freehold, Keyport) to ensure consistent patient care.

Responsibilities include supporting patient flow, maintaining clinical records, coordinating medications and referrals, and upholding infection control

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate from an approved program required.
• 6+ months supervised MA experience preferred.
• Experience in EKG and phlebotomy.
• CPR certification required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Valid New Jersey Driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Supports organization’s mission with a focus on positive interpersonal relationships with co-workers.
• Assists provider with patient workflow and maintaining clinical records.
• Executes orders and performs related duties as ordered per SOP.
• Maintains laboratory proficiency and required log books and records.
• Assists in coordination, management and documentation of medications, supplies and referrals.
• Adheres to infection control and safety policies.
• Follows organizational policies on attendance and appearance.
• Omission of duties does not exclude related work.
