UW Medical Center-Northwest is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant - Certified for the Emergency Department. The role involves night shifts, patient transport, triage support and candid collaboration with physicians and nurses in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include a CAE/ABHES-accredited MA program or equivalent, WA MA-Cert or eligibility within 6 months, and BLS CPR. Shift differential applies and commute access is presented by public transit options.

Competenze

• Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES or equivalent.
• WA State Medical Assistant-Certified or eligible within 6 months of hire.
• Valid AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers CPR is required.

Mansioni

• Perform Point-of-Care testing, splinting and wound care.
• Assist patients to exam room and document history, medications and vital signs.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms.
• Assist RN with triage process.
• Recognize symptoms and report to provider.
• Act as liaison between patient, family and providers.
• Assist provider with procedures and exams.
• Transport patients within hospital departments.
