Job summary

LiveWell Homecare Agency seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) to deliver direct patient care and clinical support in an outpatient setting under provider supervision. This role focuses on accurate patient information, room preparation, and assisting with procedures.

Responsibilities include EKGs, wound care, phlebotomy, specimen collection, scheduling, billing inquiries, medical records, referrals, and patient education.

Qualifications

• CMA or RMA credential required
• 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program preferred
• Demonstrate competency in clinical procedures and communication

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient information, prepare examination rooms, assist with procedures (EKG, wound dressings, phlebotomy) and specimen collection
• Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, billing inquiries, maintaining medical records, and facilitating referrals
• Support patient education, inventory management, sterilization, and infection control protocols
• Participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives
