Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to join our care team in Sugar Land, TX. You will support clinical procedures, perform patient screenings, and manage administrative tasks to ensure smooth care coordination.

The role requires strong clinical knowledge, compassion, and the ability to explain procedures to patients clearly. Collaboration with providers and staff is essential for delivering high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must hold CMA certifications listed in job requirements.
• Clinical knowledge and patient-care skills required.
• Ability to assist with clinical procedures and administer vaccines.
• Proficiency with electronic health records and care coordination.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for the health care provider.
• Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem.
• May be required to draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis.
• Administer ordered medications and/or vaccines via oral, injection, topically, rectal, ophthalmic, and/or inhalant administration.
• May perform routine tests including but not limited to EKGs.
