Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in Temple, TX is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for a full-time day shift. You will work closely with physicians to support patient care, update medical records, and perform routine tests and injections.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Less than 1 year of experience preferred.
• BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• CMA certification from an approved certifying body is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient examinations and treatments under physician guidance.
• Prepare and clean treatment rooms before/after procedures and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Guide patients from waiting room and help them prepare for examination.
• Interview patients and update medical records; ensure paperwork is ready for visit.
• Record vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height) and assist with exams.
• Perform routine tests (EKG, blood/urine sample collection).
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Change dressings and remove sutures as needed.
