CHP Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the Monterey County Corrections - Salinas, CA location. Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must hold a current, unrestricted Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist certification in the state of employment.
• Must hold a valid CPR card.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience in a healthcare setting; correctional healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine clinical tasks under supervision of HSA, DON, and RN.
• Perform routine blood draws as applicable.
• Take and document vital signs, height and weight; assist with PPDs and EKGs as required.
• Assist with examinations and/or treatments as needed and report changes in patients’ conditions.
