CHP Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the Monterey County Corrections - Salinas, CA location. This full-time, in-person role (36 hours) offers compensation of $25–$31 per hour, with duties including routine clinical tasks under supervision by Health Services Administrator, Director of Nursing, and Registered Nurses.

Responsabilités

• Perform routine blood draws as applicable.
• Take and document vital signs, height and weight; assist with PPDs and EKGs as required.
• Assist with examinations and/or treatments as needed and report changes in patients’ conditions.

Summary

Position Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Health Services Administrator (HSA), Director of Nursing (DON), and Registered Nurse(s) (RN), the MA is responsible for providing routine clinical tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Must have a high school diploma or GED certificate and must hold and maintain a current, unrestricted certification as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist in the state of employment and hold a valid CPR card, with a minimum of 1-year clinical experience in a healthcare setting, with correctional healthcare experience preferred.

Reporting To

Health Services Administrator (HSA)/Director of Nursing (DON)/Registered Nurse (RN)

Physical Demands

Must have the physical and mental capacity to work in an environment that may be less than pristine, and manage and maintain physical and mental health when encountering stressful situations. Must be able to exert up to 50 lbs. of force, push, pull, and move objects, to include the human body. Position may require he/she to stand or walk while performing duties.
