Job summary

Mission Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the Blue Ridge Hospital Surgery Team in Spruce Pine, NC. You will administer medications, change dressings, provide wound care, and serve as a liaison between providers and patients, documenting care delivery and patient progress.

The ideal candidate has CMA credential, current certification, and at least two years of ambulatory clinic experience; BLS within 90 days is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate/Certification CMA credential required.
• Current certification, BLS within 90 days of employment.
• Minimum two years experience in an ambulatory clinic.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and changes dressings as needed.
• Provides wound care and liaises between providers and patients.
• Documents care delivery, patient condition, reactions and progress; educates patients on pharmaceuticals.
