Job summary

Tanner-Health-1 is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical care and daily office operations. The role includes patient assessment, planning and evaluation under physician supervision, with responsibilities extending to scheduling, chart handling, and coordination across Tanner locations.

Applicants should have CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA/CMAC certification options and be prepared to travel between Tanner Medical Group sites.

Qualifications

• CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT) or CMAC (AMCA) certification required or in process.
• Demonstrated ability to interact tactfully with patients and families.
• Ability to read and interpret medical records, orders and physician directives.
• Disciplined in following clinical standards and procedures.
• Six months of related experience preferred.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Willingness to travel to all Tanner Medical Group locations.

Will also have general responsibilities to assist in the day to day operation of this office to ensure quality patient care. Qualifications

• *Will accept the following certifications CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT), or CMAC (AMCA).
• *Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees, and physicians.
• *Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient's medical records, physician's orders, and medical orders to be communicated to patient, hospital, and/or other physicians.
• *Must possess the sense of discipline to work following accepted clinical standards.
• *Prior experience in performing x-rays and EKG preferred.
• *Six months experience preferred.
• *NOTE: BLS within 90 days
• *Requires travel to all Tanner Medical Group Locations.
