Job summary

Tanner Health in Georgia is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians and render clinical care within the medical practice. Responsibilities include patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation to ensure quality care.

In addition to clinical duties, you will assist with day-to-day office operations and coordinate activities across Tanner Medical Group locations. A CMA/CCMA certification and CPR are required or preferred; BLS within 90 days is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three months of related experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or CCMA preferred or required.
• BLS within 90 days after hire.
• Requires travel to all Tanner Medical Group Locations.

Responsibilities

Job description

Will also have general responsibilities to assist in the day to day operation of this office to ensure quality patient care. Clinical care will include patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Qualifications

• Will accept the following certifications CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT), or CMAC (AMCA).
• Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees, and physicians.
• Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient's medical records, physician's orders, and medical orders to be communicated to patient, hospital, and/or other physicians.
• Must possess the sense of discipline to work following accepted clinical standards.
• Prior experience in performing x-rays and EKG preferred.
• Six months experience preferred.
• NOTE: BLS within 90 days
• Requires travel to all Tanner Medical Group Locations.
