Job summary

Tanner is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical care under physician guidance. The role includes patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, along with supporting daily office operations to maintain quality patient care.

Must hold CMA certification and have at least 3 months of related experience. Travel to multiple Tanner locations is required; on-site schedule applies in Sargent, GA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three months of related experience preferred.
• Must hold CMA/CCMA/RMA/NCMA/CMAC or equivalent CMA certification.
• Ability to communicate clearly with patients and physicians.

Responsibilities

• Render clinical care within the medical practice as directed by the physician, including patient assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Assist in day-to-day office operations to ensure quality patient care.
• Travel to all Tanner Medical Group Locations.

Job Description

Responsible for rendering clinical care within the medical practice in support of and as directed by the physician. Will also have general responsibilities to assist in the day to day operation of this office to ensure quality patient care. Clinical care will include patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Qualifications

• *Will accept the following certifications CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT), or CMAC (AMCA).
• *Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees, and physicians.
• *Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient's medical records, physician's orders, and medical orders to be communicated to patient, hospital, and/or other physicians.
• *Must possess the sense of discipline to work following accepted clinical standards.
• *Prior experience in performing x-rays and EKG preferred.
• *NOTE: BLS within 90 days
• *Requires travel to all Tanner Medical Group Locations.
