Tanner Health in Carrollton, GA seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support physicians in delivering comprehensive clinical care. The role includes patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation, while assisting with daily office operations to ensure quality patient care.

The candidate should hold CMA/CCMA or equivalent certification, demonstrate strong communication, and be capable of handling medical records and orders. Travel to Tanner locations is required.

• Must be able to interact tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees, and physicians.
• Must possess cognitive ability to understand patient medical records, physician orders, and medical orders to be communicated.
• Must adhere to clinical standards and maintain discipline in daily practice.
• Prior experience in performing x-rays and EKG preferred.
• Six months experience preferred.
• NOTE: BLS within 90 days.
• Requires travel to all Tanner Medical Group Locations.

Responsible for rendering clinical care within the medical practice in support of and as directed by the physician. Will also have general responsibilities to assist in the day to day operation of this office to ensure quality patient care. Clinical care will include patient assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Licenses & Certifications

• Certified Medical Assistant
• Healthcare Provider (CPR)

Qualifications

• Will accept the following certifications CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), NCMA (NCCT), or CMAC (AMCA).
• Must be capable of dealing tactfully and effectively with patients, family members, other employees, and physicians.
• Must possess the cognitive ability to understand patient's medical records, physician's orders, and medical orders to be communicated to patient, hospital, and/or other physicians.
• Must possess the sense of discipline to work following accepted clinical standards.
• Prior experience in performing x-rays and EKG preferred.
• Six months experience preferred.
• NOTE: BLS within 90 days
• Requires travel to all Tanner Medical Group Locations.
