Join our team as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) - Occupational Health - Sauer Center at Bon Secours.

Position Overview

This is a PRN, 'as needed' role supporting occupational and employee health services. You will work closely with providers to deliver high-quality patient care, supporting our mission to improve community health.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in patient assessments, including vital signs and documentation.
• Identify and report patient condition issues, adhering to legal responsibilities.
• Participate in care planning and troubleshooting under provider supervision.
• Float across various urgent care centers as needed, supporting high-volume periods and new center openings.
• Maintain clinical and administrative skills, including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Ensure a safe environment by maintaining cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Administer medications/vaccines within scope and state guidelines.
• Accurately document in EMR, manage My Chart requests, and handle patient communications.
• Support duties such as supply ordering, scheduling, and front desk support.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Vocational/Technical degree preferred.
• Active Medical Assisting certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, etc.) required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum one year of Medical Assisting experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
