CAN Community Health Inc. is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) I for a full-time day shift in Sarasota, FL. The role includes front desk support, phlebotomy, and clinical tasks, with a sign-on bonus offered through November 30, 2026.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• Certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA) is required or ability to achieve certification within 6 months of hire.
• CPR certification required

Responsibilities

• Performs medical intake procedures including vital signs and history.
• Performs complete patient evaluation and assessment.
• Records and reports on symptoms, reactions, treatments and changes in patient’s conditions.
• Performs immunizations as directed by the physician.
• Practice safe phlebotomy skills using standard precautions
• Greet and assist patients with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
• Accurately collect, process and post patient payments, including co-pays, deductibles and outstanding balance.

CPR Certification

1+ years of clinical experience

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
