We are hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) at our OB/GYN practices in West Orange, NJ, and Kearny, NJ.

Under the guidance of Axia Women’s Health protocols and physicians, the Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will engage with patients by assisting with care, recording vital information, and providing information to help patients utilize our services effectively.

Essential Functions include:

• Following OSHA guidelines and infection control protocols, preparing exam rooms, cleaning, setting up instruments, and maintaining sterilizers.
• Assisting patients with transfers and dressing as needed.
• Maintaining accurate patient records, including medical history, vital signs, symptoms, and medications, and scanning reports into the EMR.
• Performing venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Assisting providers with procedures and screenings.
• Relaying instructions and information to patients.
• Completing forms and requisitions for billing and records accuracy.
• Adhering to confidentiality policies and HIPAA regulations.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.

• Flexibility to work at satellite locations as needed.

Education & Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED; some college preferred.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Current national certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA, NCMA).
• CPR certification.
• At least 1 year of recent medical assistant experience or internship.
• OB/GYN or Women’s Health experience preferred.
• Experience with eClinicalWorks EMR beneficial.
