Matrix Providers Inc. is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) in San Diego, CA to assist practitioners during Veteran Disability Exams. You will prepare patients, perform basic tests under supervision, and support office operations.

This full-time role requires CMA certification, BLS, phlebotomy where required, and a clean background. Valid CA driver's license and willingness to travel between sites are needed; strong patient care and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Three years of relevant clinical experience (e.g., Primary Care, Family Care, Internal Medicine, Occupational Health, or Urgent Care).
• Maintains CMA certification where required by state operation.
• Phlebotomy certification when required by state.
• Active BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient preparation for examinations and with education.
• Perform selected patient tests and basic lab procedures as scoped by the practice.
• May perform phlebotomy and related testing under onsite supervisor.
• Provide escorting/chaperoning and support for the clinical care team.
• Provide clerical support and back up administrative tasks as needed.

We are hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team of talented medical professionals, to assist practitioners who conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams inSan Diego, CA

• Employment Status: Full Time
• Compensation: This is an hourly position. $20.00- $23.10
• Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

Requirements: The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) must have and meet the following:

• IF required by state of operation: Maintains unrestricted and in good standing certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
• Phlebotomy Certification from accrediting training course, when required by state requirements.
• Active/Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.
• Valid U.S. Driver’s License and ability/willingness to drive between work locations.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant clinical experience (i.e., Primary Care, Family Care, Internal Medicine, Occupational Health, or Urgent Care).
• Willingness to complete CAOCH and Drug Testing Collection Certifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with Veterans, Service Members and Federal Employees.
• Current certification in Audio and Drug Testing Collection.

Job Summary

• Assists providers with patient preparation for examination, minor office procedures and with the examination and education of patients.
• Performs selected patient and laboratory testing consistent with the scope of the practice, including but not limited to electrocardiography, pulmonary function tests, and vision acuity testing (dependent upon provider and site requirements).
• Under onsite provider supervision may perform phlebotomy, including venipuncture; pulmonary function test (PFT), ankle brachial index (ABI) and electrocardiograms (EKG), measurement, and documentation of vital signs.
• Provides escorting/chaperoning for patients per policy.
• Supports other members of the clinical care team, assuring optimal best practices.
• Provides clerical support and serves as backup for the Administrative Assistant or other team members as needed.
