Matrix Providers is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team providing healthcare to military service members and families in Bremerton, WA. The position is full-time with an hourly rate of $23.75–$25.00 plus $5.09/hour for health and welfare, and a schedule of Monday–Friday 07:30–16:30.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by ACCSC/ACICS/ACCET/ACCJC or CA certifying board approved program.
• Current CMA certification by AAMA or current registration by AMT or equivalent program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination rooms before patient arrival.
• Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Check vital signs: temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, BP, pulse oximetry.
• Document medical history, drug history, allergies and vitals.
• Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered.
• Maintain exam room stock and routine maintenance.
• Complete lab and x-ray requisitions per clinic policy.
• Enter demographics and diagnoses in the EMR upon patient check-out.

• Employment Status: Full Time
• Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly. $23.75-$25.00/hr + H&W $5.09/hr
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 0730-1630

Requirements

The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)must have and meet the following:

• Degree: Certificate
• Education: G raduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by the following programs: Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC); Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS); Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET); and Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior College (ACCJC) or be a graduate from a medical assistant program approved for certification by the California Certifying Board for Medical Assistants..
• Certification: Certified Medical Assistant Only: Current certification as a medical assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or Current registration by the American Medical Technologists or other formal programs.
• Experience: Possess a minimum of six months of experience as a Medical Assistant after graduation.

Job Summary

• Prepare examination rooms before the patient's arrival.
• Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.
• Check the patient's vital signs, including temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading.
• Obtain and document the patient's current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies, and vital signs on the correct form.
• Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered.
• Maintained examination room stock levels and performed routine maintenance of examination rooms.
• Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies.
• Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in; enter diagnosis and departing time when the patient is released.
