Job Responsibilities

1. Prepare patients in a timely and appropriate manner.
2. Access and assist patients in emergency situations.
3. Interview patients, measure vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, temperature), and document information accurately in medical records.
4. Assist the provider during exams as needed.
5. Update and maintain all digital client records.
6. Keep exam rooms stocked with supplies and maintain instruments.
7. Anticipate and prepare supplies needed for procedures.
8. Clean and sterilize instruments.
9. Triages and processes messages from patients and staff.
10. Instruct patients on sample and test collection.
11. Assist with lab testing and phlebotomy.
12. Clean rooms and surfaces at day’s end.
13. Assist providers, nurses, and front office staff as needed.
14. Follow provider orders promptly.
15. Demonstrate flexibility and appropriate documentation in EMR.
16. Operate clinical equipment competently.
17. Show caring and compassionate attitude towards patients and staff.
18. Communicate effectively with providers.
19. Adhere to infection-control policies and use PPE appropriately.
20. Assist with medical record scanning as needed.

Job Requirements

1. Current Certified Medical Assistant certification.
2. Phlebotomy certification.
3. One year of clinical experience.
4. Current CPR/BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
5. Basic knowledge of clinical operations.
6. Excellent communication skills.
7. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
8. Ability to prepare reports and follow up.
9. Good dexterity, coordination, and physical capability to perform duties.
10. Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and physical assessments.
11. Physical ability to lift and carry over 50 lbs, kneel, twist, and grasp firmly.
