Qualifications

• Certification: Medical Assistant Certification from a national professional association (AAMA/AMT/NAHP/ARMA/NHA).
• Experience: None required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in assuring effective and efficient clinic operations with team communication.
• Collects data on physical, psychological, social, and cultural dimensions per standards.
• Performs clinical intake, data collection, and documentation.
• Provides clinical support to licensed healthcare professionals during examinations and procedures.
• Prepares laboratory specimens and performs testing (point of care, ECG/EKG, spirometry, venipuncture).
• Maintains clean and sterile instruments/equipment and rooms; disposes of contaminated supplies.
• Delivers wound care and administers medications when directed.
• Organizes daily work assignments to support patients and interdisciplinary team.
• Contributes to patient education through approved materials and instructions.
• Ensures a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
• Maintains supplies and equipment; documents charges for clinical services.
• Provides administrative support (draft letters, scheduling, medication refills, in basket messaging, chart prep).
• Demonstrates teamwork and prioritizes time-sensitive issues.
• Engages in professional development as per policy.
