Job summary

Pandya Medical Center in Johns Creek, GA, seeks a skilled Medical Assistant to support Providers in delivering high-quality patient care. You will perform clinical and administrative duties, document efficiently, and maintain a clean, organized exam area.

The role requires EMR proficiency, CMA/RMA certification, BLS, and at least 2 years of MA experience. You will handle vitals, patient intake, and triage, ensuring accurate records and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• proficiency in EMR systems and basic computer skills.
• CMA, RMA or equivalent certification required; BLS certification required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of clinical MA experience in a medical practice.

Responsibilities

• Perform clinical procedures under supervision of the Provider.
• Assist Providers during patient examinations and procedures.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and conduct patient intake interviews; document vital signs in medical record.
• Provide patient education and instructions as directed by the Provider.
• Ensure reports, lab results, and documentation are filed and available in the patient record prior to appointments.
• Maintain exam rooms by stocking supplies, preparing instruments, and ensuring sterilization procedures.
• Manage incoming calls, take messages, and respond to patients, physicians, and pharmacies within scope.
• Triage and route messages from patients to Providers promptly.
• Maintain clinical logs and conduct routine safety checks (refrigerator logs, emergency meds, expired meds, oxygen tanks, sterilization fluids).
• Comply with clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by Clinical Lead or Office Manager.
