Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Medical Assistant/Charge RN support in Wayne, MI. The incumbent will assist physicians with patient intake, blood draw, EKGs, and related tests, while documenting in the EMR and maintaining courteous, efficient clinic flow.

Primary duties include front desk responsibilities, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and coordinating with clinical and billing staff to ensure smooth operations and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) per board requirements.
• BCLS certification preferred or required upon hire.
• 6 months of admin/data entry/clerical experience; clinic/ambulatory setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake, blood draws, EKGs and tests as directed by physician.
• Document accurately in EMR per licensure and policy.
• Manage front desk tasks: greet, register, verify insurance, collect payments; schedule appointments.
• Answer calls and coordinate with clinical or billing staff for inquiries and workflow.
