UVA Health is seeking Medical Assistants to support clinical care in ambulatory settings. Duties include rooming, data collection, vital signs, basic lab work, and administrative support under physician supervision.

Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and BLS certification; national certs are preferred. Candidates should be able to lift 20–50 lbs and work with diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AHA BLS certification required or obtained within specified timeframe.
• Certification from AAMA, AMT, NAHP, ARMA, or NHA preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide clinical support under supervision of licensed staff.
• Take vital signs and assist with data collection.
• Prepare lab specimens and assist with testing.
• Maintain clean, safe clinical environment and sterilize equipment.
• Assist with administrative tasks: scheduling, documentation, forms.
